Rhayven House is published.
"You're beautiful and I will stab anyone who says otherwise."
—Bram Stoker Award-winning author Brian Keene
"Bittinger created a story that is deep and compelling. The characters are intense and as real as it gets. I couldn't put this book down."
—Mark Miner; Author of The Home
“If HGTV’s Fixer Upper merged with SyFy’s Ghost Hunters, it wouldn’t be nearly as good as Rhayven House!
Readers will love the chills (including an inexplicably icy doorknob), the surprises, the uncovering of secrets, and the hero, Ian.
It's a touch of Grand Guignol. To paraphrase Poe, 'Quoth the raven—buy this book!'”
--Savannah Russe, USA Today Bestselling Author

“Along with visions of sugarplums, add a helping of lovely goose bumps to your holiday treats with Frank Bittinger’s deliciously chilling A Christmas Canticle. Actually I love Bittinger’s books in any season, but I gobbled this one down like a chocolate-covered candy cane…GOOD GOOD GOOD!”

Angels of the Mourning Light is #4 in the Top 10 Horror Novel of the Year 2009 in the Preditors & Editors Readers Poll.
"Angels of the Mourning Light is an interesting mix of shadowy horror and sunny humor with unpredictable twists and turns. Frank E. Bittinger's unique style will draw you in, entertain and raise the hair on the back of your neck."

Sinister Landscapes - "Jonathan’s addicted to porn, needing skin flicks like a huffer needs correction fluid. It’s a terrible thing. And it’s quickly destroying Jonathan’s life. The dangers of being a porn junkie highlight Frank E. Bittinger’s excellent Lead Me Into Temptation, the final tale in the collection. The story is misplaced in a Gothic anthology, having no kinship with that genre. But why nitpick when the story’s this good. A case of saving the best for last, Bittinger’s story is the most polished and effective, a gem that serves as emphatic punctuation to the book. An exclamation point."

ANGELS OF THE SEVENTH DAWN - I would definitely recommend it to readers that enjoy a great vampire novel with a twist. Also, the author created a world with new and interesting creatures of the night that injected fresh life into the blood-sucking genre.

“Your experience
with the voice is not surprising; not for someone like you… It sounds like your
writing career is about to really take off. The next thing I know, you will be
the next Hans Holzer! I look forward to your next book when it comes out.”
--Nancy Stallings, Author of Show Me One Soul: A True Haunting and an internationally-known psychical researcher
One of the best reads of 2007. Although this is the second book in Frank's Scarabae saga, you don't absolutely need to have read INTO THE MIRROR BLACK in order to enjoy this one as it is a stand alone story.
ANGELS OF THE SEVENTH DAWN is a perfect blend of horror and dark fantasy that unfolds at brisk pace and keeps the readers on the edge of their seats.
Mr. Bittinger develops his characters little by little every chapter and succeeds at making you care about them for the whole ride.
His plotting is tight, the action and mystery consistent throughout, and the surprises aplenty. I was afraid the climax wouldn't live up to what led to it, but the third act and ending delivered the goods on all counts.
If you like vampires, were creatures, and a dose of magic thrown in for good measure, you're bound to have a great time with this book.
Frank Bittinger is proof that sometimes the best books are not the ones on the New York Times Bestsellers List. I will be looking out for his next book, ANGELS OF THE MOURNING LIGHT, which is scheduled for publication this fall.
